Arthropoda are insect like animals that move and breathe similarly. They are both land and aquatic animals. Their respiratory system differs from many other phylums, for they possess certain organism that directly allow them to breathe.

Bees (Apis)
Bees are flying insects that consists of many varieties, such as honeybees, killerbees, and bumblebees. Bees obtain air sacs in their bodies which allow them to breathe. Oxygen is sucked into the spiracles when the air sacs expand, thus creating an opening in the bees. Then, the air sacs compress and the oxygen fills up the needed space and to their tracheas.
Crayfish (Astacoidea)
Crayfish are crustaceans that are also known as lobsters. Crayfish are sea creatures, so they possess gills that help them breathe. Much like many fish and other sea creatures, the oxygen is extracted from the water and into their gills. The oxygen then flows through the blood, providing the fish with the necessary nutrients. However, the crayfish can also breathe on land, since it has a small pocket in the body that holds the water to breathe. The gills are located outside of the body, so the crayfish obtains water while in motion, such as walking.
Spiders (Araneae)
Spiders are eight legged venomous insects that use their webs as a trap to capture prey. Spiders have lungs that allow them to breathe. The lungs that spiders have are called book lungs, which are a stack of soft plates, called lamellae. Oxygen is absorbed and it passes through the lamellae and the tissue of the spider. Then, the oxygen is transported into the blood. Other spiders have breathing tubes called tracheae, which are held open by little rings called chitin. The tracheae opens up and air flows in and out of the body, thus giving the spiders the oxygen it needs to breathe properly.
